anna ottilie ravnsberg (b. 2006) is an artist based in copenhagen, denmark.
working primarily in oil, she explores themes of mental health, identity, and boundaries between devotion to passions, and self-concept.
anna’s relationship with painting began as a way to quiet her mind during a difficult time, and has since become a place she goes to translate her thoughts into form, creating art straight from her last train of thought.
“i used to believe that art and meaning had to come from pain. i would know every aching word i wanted to say before picking up a brush. now i paint what i feel, before knowing what it is. somewhere in the process, it starts to make sense”
